The university announced Friday that itsintercollegiate men’s and women’zs program is being discontinued immediately, according to UW Athletic Director Scoty Woodward. The move is expected to save the universit y upto $1.2 million next or about 43 percent of the $2.8 millionj in cuts the athletic department is facing.
