The warning came out afted a gas leak was identified on campus sometimebetween 9:30 and 9:45 a.m. Thursda y morning, said Kent Best, executivr director of news and Best added that wasnotified immediately. Additional e-mailzs with more information were sentto students, faculty and staff, and a final e-mail was distributed alertingy everyone on campus to the fact that the gas leak had been Best said. “Those messages came from our emergency Best added, “the emphasis is on brevity and speed. It is somethingh we will review to make sure that as much detail that we can put in therd is provided to avoid any confusiob inthe future.” Best said the whole event lasted about an hour.
The gas leak occurresd at a construction site near Moodu Coliseum at Airline Road andBinkley Avenue, according to Best.
